Why study the Doctor of Judicial Science at UNE?
The Doctor of Judicial Science (SJD) is an advanced doctoral research degree in law consisting of five units of advanced coursework from the LLM program.
The SJD is intended to be equivalent to a PhD and is among the highest forms of law degree that a university can award.

| Entry Requirements | Candidates must: a) Show evidence they have potential for research; and b) Have appropriate academic qualifications as follows: · A Master's degree acceptable to the Research Doctoral Committee. The degree must be of a minimum standard and clear evidence of researhc training must be shown; and/or must be accompanied by other acceptable qualifications and/or research experience; or · A Bachelors degree with First Class Honours or Second Class First Division Honours; or · Another degree, plus subsequent acceptable qualifications and/or research experience; or · Hold similar qualification(s) acceptable to the Research Doctoral Committee from another institution(s). Such qualifications must be of the standard of an Australian or equivalent university, in the University's judgement. · The Doctor of Judicial Science is a research degree administered by the University. |
