The Diploma of Commerce has been specially designed for those employed or associated with an Indigenous organisation. The units in the Diploma have been based on areas identified as being fundamental to the diverse operational aspects of Indigenous organisations - e.g. financial accountability, basic business law, management, group dynamics and leadership skills.

Pathway: A student who is seeking to progress further than the Diploma can gain admission into the Bachelor of Business and receive advanced standing for all units completed in the Diploma. Enrolment in the Bachelor of Business degree is available either full or part time, on campus or off campus, and is Commonwealth supported.

Information for Continuing Diploma of Commerce Students for 2008

Course Requirements
To qualify for the degree a student must complete units to the value of 48 cp.
Students must complete one of the following:

1. A program of study comprising 48 cp as approved by the Course Coordinator, from 100 and 200 level units with a maximum of 12 cp at 300 level chosen from units offered by the School of Business, Economics and Public Policy; or

2. The following prescribed coursework program:
Indigenous Organisational Management.
Compulsory units: PDAB 201, 202; AFM 101; LS 251 (LS151 has been withdrawn); MM 105, 200, 220, 223/323

Enrolment in this coursework program is on a part-time basis.
