Why study the Bachelor of Natural Resources/Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning at UNE?
Graduates will be qualified to practice as planners and natural resources managers. In addition to the natural resources component of the program, students will receive professional training in town planning, urban and environmental design, the human environment and the legal framework for planning and heritage conservation.
Graduates of this double degree program will be awarded the degrees of Bachelor of Natual Resources and Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning.
Practical Experience: Students must complete 12 weeks of approved practical work experience work during their candidature.

| Entry Requirements | Entry into this course requires Geography, Economics, Mathematics and either Chemistry or Science at NSW HSC level, or equivalent. The Faculty offers Foundation Studies in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for students who do not have the recommended background knowledge. |

Information for Continuing Bachelor of Natural Resources/Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning Students for 2008
Course Requirements (pre 2008)
Candidates must complete units with a total value of at least 240 cp. With the approval of the Course Coordinator for Natural Resources, other units offered by the University may be substituted for one or more of the approved units listed below for the BNatRes component of the double degree program.
Group 1 (First Year—complete 48 cp)
BIOL 110, 120; CHEM 110 or CHEM 130 (no longer offered); GEPL 111, 112 or RSNR 110, 120; MATH 120 (previously MATH 110); PHYS 132 (previously BIOP 112); STAT 100.
Group 2 (Second Year—complete ALL units)
BOTY 203 (previously BOTY 211 and 241); ECOL 203 (previously ECOL 210 and 220), EM 234; GEPL 121, 122; SOIL 220; STAT 200 or ECOL 204/404 (previously EM 331). Students who have not successfully completed ECOL 220 should select another unit as approved by the course coordinator
Group 3 (Third Year—complete ALL units)
ECON 329; ENVE 352; GEOL 110 or RSNR404 (previously ENVE 361 and 423); GEPL 316, 320, 322; NR 331, ZOOL 203 (EM 251 subsumed into ZOOL 203) or an approved unit from the Bachelor of Natural Resources.
Group 4 (fourth Year—complete 48 cp)
