Graduates of the program are awarded a combined Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree.

| Entry Requirements | Students entering this combined course must have any two units of English and are strongly advised to have Chemistry and Mathematics at HSC level, or equivalent. Physics and Biology are useful but not essential. For students without the recommended background knowledge, the Faculty offers Foundation units in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. |

Course Requirements (pre 2008)
Candidates must complete units counting at least 192 cp comprising 96 cp from the Bachelor of Arts and 96 cp from the Bachelor of Science.
Bachelor of Arts Component:
Candidates must complete units to the value of 96 cp from subjects listed for the Bachelor of Arts*, and these units must include:
• not more than 36 cp at 100 level;
• an approved major of at least 48 cp, including 18 cp at 300 level in a single subject; and
• at least 12 cp in each of two separate subjects.

Candidates must complete units to the value of 96 cp from one of the following streams which shall include:
• 36 cp at 100 level from Group1
• 24cp from Group 2;
• 36cp from Group 3.
