In October 2007 the CLG was visited by Professor Lorenzo Robotti, coordinator of OPERA, a research team working in the area of local public economics at the Università Politecnica delle Marche in Ancona, Italy and an Agreement of Co-operation was signed between the University of New England and Ancona University;
The book Reform and Leadership in the Public Sector. A Political Economy Approach by Joe L. Wallis, Brian E. Dollery and Linda McLoughlin was released by Edward Elgar, Cheltenham.
