In October 2007 the CLG was visited by Professor Lorenzo Robotti, coordinator of OPERA, a research team working in the area of local public economics at the Università Politecnica delle Marche in Ancona, Italy and an Agreement of Co-operation was signed between the University of New England and Ancona University.
