Consultancies in 2006

Consultancies in 2006 have focussed on local government amalgamations. Centre members have assisted councils in New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia in dealing with state-government imposed amalgamation proposals.

The Director and Deputy Director made substantial contributions to the Independent Inquiry into the Financial Sustainability of NSW Local Government in late 2005 and early 2006.
