Universities UK, Seminar Report - Future business models for universities in the UK: issues and challenges - "At its annual seminar Universities UK’s Longer Term Strategy Group examined the challenges that would face the sector over the next 20 years. ... It assessed the possibility that for-profit providers would take an increased market share. The potential for increased collaboration and partnerships between universities and for-profit providers was also discussed. LH Martin Institute for Higher Education Leadership and Management, Charting New Terrain: Creating and maintaining a diversified tertiary education sector in Australia, Melbourne, 27-28 November, 2008 - "The conference will focus on the formation of a diverse tertiary education system in Australia. A select group of national and international speakers will explore the challenges that such a system poses in terms of flexibility, quality and transparency, and meeting the needs of a diverse range of stakeholders.
