Uniting Church Chaplaincy Activities
Want to get involved?
All the activities advertised here are open to anyone who is interested. You don't need to belong to the Uniting Church or even be a Christian to attend. Everyone is welcome.
Bible Study
Want to:
- get to know the Bible better?
- meet other students?
- have the opportunity to ask questions about how the Bible applies to everyday life in a relaxed atmosphere?
Bible studies happen each week during on-campus teaching periods. Check this space for the 2007 schedule.
Venue: Uniting Church Chaplain's Office, the Old Lodge (building E21.)
Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and/or cordial provided each week and there is a microwave available for heating food.
Special Events
In addition, a number of special events are organised each year. The most recent was the Stand Up Against Poverty activity that took place on Monday, 16 October in the Central Courtyard. This was organised in association with the UNE Postgraduate Association, Services UNE and the NTEU. We had a BBQ and some speakers, including the Vice Chancellor, collected signatures on a petition against student poverty in Australia, sold Make Poverty History white wristbands and launched an appeal to help build a school in Bhutan.
