The Centre for Bioactive Discovery in Health and Ageing (CBDHA) is a multi-disciplinary research group conducting cutting-edge biomedical research. CBDHA is located within the School of Science and Technology at the University of New England. UNE has designated CBDHA a Centre of Research Excellence within the university´s targeted strategic research priority of Rural Health.

Researchers within the Centre represent a range of disciplines within the biomedical sciences such as immunology, endocrinology, protein biochemistry, chemistry, physiology, exercise physiology and biophysics. Research is conducted on a range of projects including stress and depression, breast cancer, diabetes, hormonal regulation of ovulation, pregnancy and pre-term labour, neurophysiological and immune system interactions.
