Competitive Sport
Albies is renowned for its strong sporting traditions and this year has again fielded competitive teams in all sports.
Our Rugby Union Club has a history dating back to the College's origin and enjoys continued support from our Alumni and community sponsors.
We have now won in all 3 grades 4 times
1988 – won 1st , 2nd, 3rd and lost colts in GF
2005, 2009, 2011 – won 1st, 2nd, 3rd gradeThus since the club started
1st Grade – won 10 premierships from 18 Grand Finals
2nd Grade – won 20 premierships from 23 Grand Finals
3rd Grade – won 10 premierships from 18 Grand FinalsIn the last 8 years
1st Grade – won 5 Premierships from 7 Grand finals
2nd Grade – won 7 Premierships from 8 Grand finals
3rd Grade – won 4 Premierships from 8 Grand finals
Thus we won the Club Championships for all 8 years.
* Our Netball teams are extremely competitive and we once again defeated Robb College in the annual freshers match.
* The Women's hockey has progressed to two teams in its second year and our girls are extremely happy to have the option to play.
The rise of the Albies Sports Clubs continue to enhance competitive sport at Albies with currently eight competitive clubs on the books for 2013.

Inter-College Competition

Supporting
It's not only about competing on the field - supporting our teams is considered a sport in itself - so much so that one of this College's most prestigious awards awarded at the end of each year goes to the 'Supporter of the Year'.
