AccommodationWright Village is comprised of 47 flats providing accommodation for approximately 300 Residents. Flats contain 4 bedrooms, 6 bedrooms or 8 bedrooms and are set out in a ‘block’ style. The 4 bedroom flats are situated towards the eastern area of the Village with 2 flats per block separated by a shared laundry. The 6 and 8 bedroom flats are set out with 4 flats and a laundry per block. Each study/bedroom is equipped with a telephone, free voicemail , a computer port that allows access to the UNE computer network and the internet (optional charge for connection $100 per annum), desk, study lamp, a chair, wardrobe, bookshelves, notice board, and a bed and mattress. Each flat has shared modern bathroom and toilet facilities, and a communal kitchen. Residents need to provide their own linen, towels, iron, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Each flat is provided with a broom, dustpan and brush, ironing board, vacuum, mop and bucket. Laundry facilities include coin operated washing machines, coin operated dryers (only in 6 and 8 bedroom laundries). Clothes lines are available throughout the Village. Residents need to supply their own pegs. Resident Leaders are appointed to every block of flats to oversee the day-to-day functioning of the block, to provide practical advice about being a student of the university and a Resident of Wright Village, as well as pastoral care and academic support. Their role is to ensure that all students enjoy their residential experience. A BBQ area is available for students to reserve for special occasions. Other Facilities & Utilities
