Dr Alan McKenzie, Principal

2007 will be Alan's twenty-ninth year as Master of Austin College.

The Master is responsible to the Pro Vice Chancellor (Teaching and Learning) for the conduct and welfare of the College, but is not required to report regularly other than on financial matters. Rather, in recent years, under the general guidance of the Head, Colleges have been permitted a significant degree of autonomy regarding internal government. For outside scrutiny, the Master is required to exercise careful and efficient financial management and compliance with relevant legislation.

Internally, he is responsible for the general welfare of the College, for the maintenance of an environment, which will encourage academic achievement and personal development, for the comfort and happiness of members as a group, and for the personal well being of each individual.

The College Office is organised by Allison Rocks who leads a team of Student Assistants who undertake the day to day running of the College office.
