As a Resident Leader what are you looking forward to in 2024? I’m super excited to be a part of the RL team for 2024 to get to know all the new freshers and be there to support all the residents on my block. I want to help everyone have a great year both socially and academically.

As a Resident Leader what are you looking forward to in 2024? I'm excited to foster strong relationships with new residents and encourage every student to give their best in their studies. I am also very excited to bake fun treats for Might As Well Monday (MAWM) study night every week.

What do you love about Duval? Because Duval is one of the smaller colleges, there is a great sense of community. Everyone gets to know the other people who stay at college, and people are super friendly and happy to help out where they can.

What advice do you have for new Duval residents? Ask questions about anything and everything Everyone is in it together to get through their studies, don’t be afraid to ask for help when uni or life is full on. Its normal to feel homesick for the first couple of weeks, stick with it and Duval will become a second home.

What advice do you have for new Duval residents? My biggest tip for freshers would to be approach college with an open mind and embrace every opportunity that comes your way. Immerse yourself into the college lifestyle, whether it’s by joining a club or society, attending sporting events, or going to college activities and pub nights. Being involved really gives you the most out of your short time at Duval leaving you with many memories and connections.

What advice do you have for new Duval residents? Jump in the deep end! Especially if it's your first time living away from home, get to know the people you live with. Go to events, and to MAWM when you can, and try to make the very best of your time at Duval. Duval shows importance to both academics, and socialising, so no matter what you like to do, you'll always find someone willing to join you for it! Your Resident Leader team are always here to help, whether themselves, or pointing you towards services which can be useful to you.

What do you love about College? I appreciate the small and friendly community at Duval. The College is passionate and supportive of every event and degree program. On weekends, you can watch the netball team or attend the Mary Bagnall (MB) and President's Trophy (PT) events on Sundays. Additionally, the College is always willing to offer its assistance whenever you need it, while also creating long lasting memories and friendships.
