Study with us
We offer flexible learning environments.
We are one of the leading providers of off-campus education to students all around the world. The University of New England has been a pioneer and leader in the provision of high quality distance education since it's inception as a college of the University of Sydney in 1938, followed by UNE becoming an independent University in 1954.
Our on-campus courses are rated highly in graduate satisfaction with students benefiting from small class sizes and an excellent student-to-staff ratio.
Our staff, experienced in both on- and off-campus modes of course delivery, are driven by research and informed by practice, resulting in courses that are constantly changing to meet the needs of the real world and maintaining their relevancy in a wide variety of organisations to enhance your employment and promotion prospects.
Your study options
Choose from our wide range of study options that are offered as undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degrees, or higher degree research courses at the master and doctoral levels.
Subject areas (listed on the undergraduate study page) include sustainability, commerce, management, leadership, economics, finance, agribusiness, agricultural and resource economics, and regional development.
We provide support to doctoral and masters students in research training, knowledge transfer and innovation. We allocate experienced research supervisors to each student to maximise the research training experience, culminating in a high level of original research outputs that contribute to the various discipline areas. A number of scholarships as well as the Commonwealth Government's Research Training Scheme (which offers fee exemptions for eligible students) are further opportunities available to support you in your research endeavours.
Advanced standing pathways
If you have completed a relevant Diploma or Advanced Diploma from TAFE or a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) you may find that these studies are recognised for advanced standing within your chosen course at UNE. This can significantly shorten the length of your UNE course as we build on your previous TAFE/RTO skills and knowledge.
Please see the list of approved Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas that provide a pathway to one of our courses.
Regardless of your entry level to our wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses we hope that you will join us in the UNE Business School and continue to return to us for further studies throughout your professional and lifelong learning.
