Learning and Teaching
Our School is nationally and internationally renowned for its high teaching standards and flexible learning environments. Although a number of our courses are offered on-campus, typically with small class sizes and an excellent student to staff ratio, we are also one of the leading providers of distance education to students all around the world. Indeed, since its inception as a college of the University of Sydney in 1938 and its creation as an independent university in 1954, the University of New England has been a pioneer and leader in the provision of high quality distance education generally. Our staff are driven by research and informed by practice, resulting in courses that are constantly changing to meet the needs of the real world and maintaining their relevancy in a wide variety of organisations to enhance your employment and promotion prospects.
In addition to our range of undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degrees we offer higher degree research courses at the master and doctoral levels. Support is provided to students in research training, knowledge transfer and innovation. We allocate experienced research supervisors to each student to maximise the research training experience culminating in a high level of original research outputs that contribute to the various discipline areas and the improvement of professional practice. A number of scholarships as well as the Commonwealth Government's Research Training Scheme (which offers fee exemptions for eligible students) are further opportunities available to support you in your research endeavours.
Regardless of your entry level to our wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses we hope that you will join us in the School of Business, Economics and Public Policy and continue to return to us for further studies throughout your professional and lifelong learning
