Emotional Functioning and Health

Name of researcher(s):

Nicola Schutte, Donald Hine, Gail McDonnel.

Project aims:

The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between trait and ability emotional functioning and some selected health behaviours. We hope that this research will help clarify ways in which trait and ability emotional functioning interact in predicting health behaviours.

Research methodology:

If you would like to participate in the study, you will be asked to come to the computer lab in the main psychology building. There you will be asked to give your reaction to computerised stimuli, such as deciding what emotion is expressed by a person in a photograph and to also complete a pencil and paper survey.

Estimated participation time:

40 minutes
