AUSTIN SPORTIES DINNER 25nd March
Sprties dinner aims to recognize the sporting achievements of those residents in Austin who wake up early every Saturday and Sundya to go and represent the college in MB and PT. The night featured the presentation of sporting awards, a keynote speaker, buffet style dinner and the announcement of the 2011 president. Congratulations to Stuart Sugito on his election as president.
AUSTIN PARENTS DINNER 14th August
The Annuals parents weekend dinner sees the family of our residents come to college for a weekend of fun. The highlight of this weekend is the parents dinner held in the Austin dining hall. The dinner saw the families of residents enjoying a meal together, an address from the Austin Master Andrea Gledhill and an address from the parent of a resident, this year the address came from the father of Austin RF Garth Worboys.
AUSTIN CHARITIES DINNER 25nd March
The 25th of March saw Austin hold its annual Charities Dinner. Each year Austin chooses a charity to support with various events over the course of the year. This year, Austin has chose to support SANE. SANE aims to connect individuals with mental health issues to various resources to assist them in coping. During charities dinner Austin students gave very generously to this very worthwhile cause. The dinner also featured the annual slave auctions, where residents can buy their peers for a day and all proceeds going to charities, and the highlight of the evening was the performance for Austin celebrties "Streak and the Kitchen Ladies'.
AUSTIN FAREWELLS MASTER 22nd March
On the 22nd of March, Austin Officially farewelled David Ward, ex Master of Austin and Earle Page colleges. Whilst David was only the Master for a short time he made many positive contributions to Austin and will be missed by many of Austin Residents.
COMMENCEMENT DINNER 27th February
Commencement Dinner is the first formal dinner on the Austin College Calender. It marks the start of the academic year for students. The students were welcomed to Austin by the college's new head, Andrea Gledhill. Commencement Dinner also gives Austin a chance ti play host to many esteemed guest such as the new Vice Chanellor of UNE Professor James Barber who welcomed this years freshers to UNE.
