About Austin

Austin

Austin College is one of the youngest colleges at the University of New England. With rooms for almost 300 students, a beautiful big courtyard and a reputation for 'giving it a go', Austin provides a wonderful home away from home. Austin performs well academically, culturally and on the sporting field. Austin has even developed it's own sport; 'Noona' which is a hotly contested competition every year. Austin College is also the only UNE college with its own bar and we are known for our Bierfest function which is held every year.

We know what students in 2012 want from college life.   We understand that this will be your new home and extended family during a very significant time – the enriching, exciting and never-to be-forgotten years at university which await you.

Austin has a range of facilities that enrich your college experience. These include common rooms, kitchenettes, a music room, an exercise room, a Large Common Room, a computer lab, a bike shed, laundries and a beautiful, big dining hall. 15 meals a week are provided and the kitchen is open on weekends to purchase additional meals. All rooms are centrally heated, have internet, phone and TV aerial connections, and linen is provided.

Austin College will be celebrating 40 years in 2012. We hope you will be joining us there!
