UNEAC Affiliated Fellows

Affiliated Fellow, a category of formal attachment to the UNE Asia Centre, was ratified by the UNEAC Board in 2002.

Affiliated Fellows are appointed by the UNEAC Board for a period of three years. Appointments are renewable following review by the Board. Affiliated Fellow status is available to academic staff of UNE, staff of other Australian and overseas Universities and Institutions, and other suitable individuals as determined by the Board. Affiliated Fellows of UNEAC are Centre appointments and are not related to or affect other University level honorary or adjunct appointments. The UNEAC Affiliated Fellow status carries no formal UNE-level status.

The UNEAC Affiliated Fellow position provides the opportunity for scholars of Asia, whatever their discipline, faculty or university, to develop active collaborative links with the Centre. Membership of the Asia centre will enable Fellows to be involved in current research and/or research training programs or to develop new inter-disciplinary projects and teams.

Affiliated Fellows will be provided access to the UNE Asia Centre facilities, and where possible, some temporary office space may be provided to visiting Affiliated Fellows.

Applications to become Affiliated Fellows, which should include a CV and statement on proposed collaboration and contributions to UNEAC are invited and should be sent to Prof. Howard Brasted or Prof. Ian Metcalfe at the addresses below.
