General Information about the Festival
|
Who is eligible to participate?
Any person over the age of 60 years can apply to participate.
What level of musical skill do I need?
All participants must be able to read music and sing in tune. You
do not necessarily need to be a singer. People with an instrumental
background
and can sing in tune are encouraged to participate.

How long is the Festival?
The Festival will be held over 5 days.
What is the cost of the Festival?
The cost is $180 which includes music and workshops
|
What repertoire will be sung?
The repertoire will be a variety of challenging music that ranges
from classic anthems through to chorus excerpts and dynamic spirituals.
A specifically composed work for the Festival is being composed by
Peter Sculthorpe and will be premiered at the closing concert. |
How do I prepare for the Festival?
When you have paid your registration you will be sent a folio of
the music to be covered in the Festival/Choral workshops.
