ALTC@UNE Management
At UNE, overall management of ALTC activities is the responsibility of the SDVC & DVC(A). A committee, the UNE ALTC Grants and Awards Committee, is responsible for the internal application processes and is chaired by the Director of the TLC. The Committee reports to the SDVC & DVC(A).
The Teaching and Learning Centre is responsible for the day to day management of ALTC related processes and supports the Committee. The ALTC Institutional Contact Officer (ICO) is responsible for the day to day management of ALTC related processes and supports the Committees, and the Academic Developer (ALTC) provides academic support to applicants.
All queries about any ALTC related activities can be referred to altc-admin@une.edu.au.
An account has been set up, the ALTC Management Account, to support ALTC activities at UNE. Funds for this account are obtained from institutional levies placed on all ALTC funding. Further details are available for UNE staff only.

- Faculty Academic Directors (2)
- Faculty Academic staff representatives (2)
- TLC Academic Developer (ALTC Support Team Leader)
- TLC Academic Developer (ALTC)
- TLC ALTC Admin Officer (Secretary to Committee)
The final selection of all representatives is to be approved by the SDVC & DVC(A)
Role for ALTC Teaching Awards
The Grants and Awards Committee is responsible for identifying ALTC Citation and Teaching Award applicants. Shortly after the Awards EOI deadline of 31 January, the Committee meets to consider the EOIs submitted. They identify those meeting the ALTC selection criteria and are which are therefore likely to succeed in their application.
Following the submission of completed citation applications, the Committee meets to decide which to endorse and provide the institutional ranking as required by the ALTC. Following the submission of completed teaching awards, the Committee meets to decide whether to recommend institutional endorsement to the SDVC&DVC(A).
Role for ALTC Grants
The Grants and Awards Committee is responsible for recommending whether completed applications should be provided with institutional endorsement by the SDVC&DVC(A).
To support application development and minimise the risk of staff spending time developing an application with minimal chance of success, the Committee also consider applications at the EOI (Concept) stage.
