Professor
D.R. Grey Postgraduate Research Foundation: Awards
will be available to full-time Honours students in the Faculty
of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and will be made on the basis of need and academic
merit. Applicants may request financial assistance towards
costs of travel, books, equipment or maintenance resulting
from their research. A case supporting each item claimed
for payment must be made, including reasons why the items
requested are not otherwise available from other funds. Candidates
who already hold a scholarship or bursary are required to
indicate the value of these. In 2006, the average grant paid
was $750. Applications will be invited in April/May each
year.

M. Oxley Bursaries: These bursaries, to the value
of $1,000, will be awarded to internal or external students

of Honours in the Schools of the Faculty. Successful applicants
will be selected on the basis of a combination of academic
achievement and degree of need. Applications will close 31
December 2006 and should be made on the appropriate form
which is available from the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
Office, Alluna Building, in early September.
