Undergraduate Study

Agronomy and Soil Science is unique in Australian universities as it combines the skills of plant and soil scientists in the teaching and research programs of a single discipline. The discipline's research laboratories are equipped with the most modern analytical equipment, growth chambers and a tissue culture facility. Agronomy and Soil Science has a glasshouse complex and ready access to the University's Rural Properties, which offer differing climate and soil types for field activity. All potential students, and their families, are very welcome to visit Agronomy and Soil Science and see the facilities in person, and talk to relevant staff. This can be done on Information Day (in January), or UNE Open Day (in September), or by making arrangements for a personal visit at a convenient time. Visit the Staff page for a list of contacts.
