Teaching Activities involving Electronic Media

Agronomy and Soil Science is unique in Australian universities as it combines the skills of plant and soil scientists in the teaching and research programs of a single department. Students wishing to enquire about undergraduate and postgraduate study should write directly to the Group Convenor.

Summary

Undergraduate teaching and postgraduate training within the Division of Agronomy and Soil Science is concerned with the improved understanding of the climatic, edaphic and biotic factors which influence the level and stability of food and fibre production. Areas of interest in the plant sciences include new crop adaptation studies, pasture science, weed science, crop protection, plant nutrition, and horticultural science. In soil science the research areas include soil physics, soil chemistry, soil fertility, soil biology, and soil management studies.
