What can I do at the Centre?
All course details are available both online and from the UNE Tamworth Centre. Undergraduate, Postgraduate and College accommodation information, library and student support service details are also available. A full time staff member is available to assist prospective students with enquiries and assistance with the admission and enrolment processes, as well as providing support for current students with any concerns, queries or assistance they may require.
There are tutorial rooms and quiet study areas for students wishing to have meetings or do some reading and research. The Tamworth centre facilities are also available for hire.
Each semester the following video conference workshops will be available for students to participate in from the Tamworth facility:
- Orientation 'Getting Started' video conference workshop
- Study Skills - for students enrolled in the UNE Pathways Program
- Study Skills - for students enrolled in a Degree covering the following:
* Essay writing skills
* Independent Study Techniques and Referencing
* Reporting and Avoiding Plagiarism Techniques
- Resume Writing / Interview Skills
- Exam preparation covering the following:
* Fear of Failure and Exam Anxiety, Procrastination
* Dealing with the voices /thinking in your head
* Improving Memory and Concentration
* Time Management
- Tutorials for some of the more popular units
Some face-to-face workshops will also be held at UNE Tamworth Centre.
Students need to keep an eye on their UNE email addresses for information on what is happening and when at the Tamworth facility.
