Sydney facilities available for UNE staff to utilise

Where are the facilities?

UNE hires facilities to hold intensive schools, workshops, meetings and examinations from W.E.A. in the CBD of Sydney. The building is at 72 Bathurst St (near corner of Kent St). Conveniently located just a short walk from Town Hall station.

Weekday opening hours:

The building opens at 8am each morning and is locked at 9pm each evening during the week.

Weekend opening hours:

WEA advise that the building is accessible from 8.30am on Saturday and Sunday mornings.  It is suggested that academics structure teaching to start at 9am to give them half an hour to set up.

The building closes at 5pm sharp on the weekend so it is suggested that academics structure teaching to finish at 4.30pm to enusre they have vacated the building by 5pm.

If anyone wants to stay after 5pm, the WEA weekend janitor can stay longer but you are responsible for the wage and overtime for him to remain in the building.

How do I book the Sydney facilities?

Staff who wish to use the venue can view availability through the room bookings web page http://www.une.edu.au/timetables/2011/room/ And request booking the venue via the ad hoc room bookings page and form  http://www.une.edu.au/timetable/room-bookings.php

Requests will now be sent directly to roombookings@une.edu.au. Once you place a booking you will receive an email from the timetable team with a booking number.

The room is listed as off campus and will not be included in class timetables.

** Important Note **

The rooms available to UNE will only accommodate up to 24 people sitting comfortably at tables.  If you are expecting more than 24 people at your activity you will need to source an alternate venue.
