Dorrigo Community Weed Action
Mission Statement
We, land owners in Dorrigo and neighbouring areas, commit ourselves to do whatever it takes, within reason, to work towards:
- the eradication of Senecio madagascariensis (fireweed) on all public and private land on the Plateau;
- the minimization and spread of all other noxious weeds, including environmental weeds, such as ox eye daisy.
These weeds represent a real threat to the livelihood and wellbeing of our farmers.
We recognise that invasive weeds, such as fireweed, have the capacity to destroy the fabric of our community.
