Educational Research in the Age of the Anthropocene

A School of Education seminar presented on July 13th, 2016 by Adele Nye, Jennifer Charteris, Vicente Reyes and Sofia Mavropoulou

What is the age of the Anthropocene? What is the impact of the Anthropocene to education research? How can we as scholars and practitioners involved in education research interrogate existing research paradigms with the hope of addressing issues and challenges that have intensified in the age of the Anthropocene?
In this three-part seminar-workshop, Vicente, Jennifer, Adele and Sofia – as critical friends -- will talk about (1) the age of the Anthropocene; (2) persistent gaps in educational research paradigms and (3) a book project that attempts to critically reflect on research paradigms in the age of the Anthropocene.
