Graduate Certificate of Education Studies (GCES) with possible progression to Master of Education (MEd)
Programs of study within the Graduate Certificate of Education Studies and the Master of Education have been designed for professional educators who will be working in range of settings or areas of specialisation. Successful completion of these courses will deepen students' knowledge in a range of educational disciplines and engage students with contemporary practice and theory in those disciplines.

Career and Transition Education
Programs of study in this area focus on the provision of the skills and knowledge required of Career Development Practitioners in schools and other settings as they respond to the demands and opportunities of a dynamic and increasingly globalised world of work. Students will obtain a professional qualification in the field of Career Development as they learn to design, implement and evaluate effective programs to support individuals and groups in the process of career and transition planning. This specialisation is endorsed by the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) as meeting the Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners for a period of 3 years from March 2016 to March 2019. The Graduate Certificate in Education Studies (Careers Transition Education) is recognised and endorsed by the NSW Department of Education as an approved post-graduate program designed to prepare teachers for employment as a careers advisor.

Programs of study in this area provide students with the knowledge and critical analytical skills to approach Indigenous Australian and intercultural educational contexts. Students explore critically the legacies of colonization and racism in Australia and examine legislation, policies, strategies and curriculum documents that seek to redress the effects of these in educational contexts.

International Schooling, Education and Development
Programs of study in this area meet the needs and interests of education professionals working or intending to work in international, development-focused, intercultural and increasingly globalised education contexts. Students' experience in multicultural and diverse contexts is drawn on to enhance abilities to manage the complexities of delivering internationally recognised programs and credentials in culturally diverse contexts.

Literature and New Literacies
Programs of study in this area provide the opportunity for teachers to upgrade their skills and professional qualifications in regard to knowledge about language, literature, grammar and multimodal communication. The course covers the place of new literacies in primary, secondary and tertiary education including traditional, contemporary and diverse cultural perspectives in a range of formats.

Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
Programs of study in this area provide a specialist professional qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and fosters the confidence, competence and enthusiasm of intending teachers for working with a broad range of learners from school level to adults. Students attend an intensive school as well as complete sixty hours of ESL practice teaching and reach a satisfactory standard of proficiency.
Leadership in Positive Education
The Master of Applied Leadership in Positive Education is designed for professional educators who are interested in applied leadership, situated within the framework of positive education and psychology.
