Professor Mingan Choct
Professor Mingan Choct was appointed to the role of Pro Vice-Chancellor (External Relations) on November 13, 2017.
Prof Choct first joined UNE in 1995 as a Lecturer in Animal Production in the School of Environmental and Rural Science. Most recently he was the CEO of Poultry CRC, where he coordinated a large number of research projects and managed various partnerships with national and international bodies. He has supervised 50 postgraduate students and published over 300 papers in journals and proceedings. He is an active member of the global scientific community and has travelled extensively speaking at numerous national and international conferences.
