Bachelor of Nursing

The Bachelor of Nursing is a professional entry degree course that leads to eligibility for Registered Nurse status.

Flexible and blended learning

The Bachelor of Nursing is delivered flexibly over six trimesters through blended learning modes, and you can study online or on-campus. There is a combination of mandatory intensive schools, online learning and clinical practice blocks.

Units are offered in all three trimesters allowing students to complete the course in two calendar years completing in late February the following year.

Entry pathways

Enrolled nurses

If you are an enrolled nurse (who holds an unrestricted Enrolled Nurse qualification with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia) you can enter the Bachelor of Nursing with eight units (a full year) of Advanced Standing at the beginning of the calendar year. Enrolled Nurses start in the second year of the course. To complete the Bachelor of Nursing you will need to complete four trimesters of full-time study. Once complete you will be eligible for Registered Nurse status.

International students

International students who are Registered Nurses in their own country but not eligible for registration in Australia, may enter in Trimester Three and complete five trimesters of full time study for a Bachelor of Nursing and eligibility for Registered Nurse status.
