Eligibility requirements

The Australian Federal Government has provided UNE and the School of Education with 10 mobility scholarships for the Early Childhood Education Japan Study Tour program under the New Colombo Plan.

Students who receive a scholarship for the Early Childhood Education Japan Study Tour program must be:

  • an Australian Citizen. Students with dual citizenship or permanent residency or similar in another location/country are eligible, however, they must undertake their study in a third Host location, of which they do not have citizenship or residency right
  • in their 3rd or 4th year of the B.Ed. (Early Childhood and Primary) degree at UNE
  • aged 18 to 28 inclusive at the commencement of the study program
  • not have already completed EDEC421, EDEC 321 or OSSE 300
