Research in the School of Education
Please explore research in the School of Education at the University of New England. If you are a potential research collaborator, Higher Degree Student, or anyone else interested in research in our school, please find the suitable focus research area and researchers from the links below.
eLearning, ePedagogy and Innovation Research Network
The eLearning, ePedagogy and Innovation Research Network has been active in the School of Education. There are members from across most educational disciplines. This has meant that we have branched out into five subgroups with some members in several groups. The groups are: Blogs and Digital Storytelling; Online Pedagogy/Identity; Formative Assessment; School Stakeholders and eMentoring. The aim of each subgroup has been to increase publications and research within the school.
Equity and Diversity Research Network
The Equity and Diversity Research Network is a collective of researchers working in diverse fields. Our aims include increasing publications and research within the school and fostering a community of practice appropriate to our areas of research. Our subgroups include Comparative and International Education, Aboriginal Education and Inclusive Education. Collectively the Equity and Diversity Research Network meets on a tri-monthly basis while the subgroups meet on a more regular basis. We welcome new members throughout the year.
Languages and Literacies
The Languages and Literacies (LL) Research Network acknowledges the different languages spoken by many learners in Australia (in addition to English) and the need to take account of these languages in educational research.
Learning and Assessment Research Network
The Learning and Assessment Research Network (LARN) provides technical and research support to UNE researchers interested and engaged in supporting regional and rural education, specifically in analysing performance-based assessments, evaluating student learning, and measuring school performance.
Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Research Network (STEM)
The STEM Research Network is a diverse group with individuals coming from a number of discipline areas and pedagogical traditions in education.
