This section has been created as a guide for professional experience placements. It does not contain a program of study nor any information regarding units other than units containing professional experience for the School of Education.
Information on these pages may vary when compared to the Course and Units Catalogue. If information varies, the Course and Units Catalogue will be the correct version.
Please visit the UNE Handbook to ensure you are enrolled in the correct professional experience units for your course of study.
How to Use the Guide
Each course has been broken down into units containing professional experience placements. These will vary from year to year as the courses have evolved at the UNE School of Education. To select the degree you are interested in or you are currently studying, please follow these prompts:
- Work out the year you started your course or the year you are wishing to begin;
- Select the year or year range you require - this can be completed by using the quick links below or by using the side menu selections;
- Select the course you are enrolled in making sure you check any special information;
- Select the unit you would like to see the information about
Example
- I wish to look up the Specific requirements for EDUC550
- I started my degree in 2019 so I select the 2018 -2022 Placement Guide
- I then select my Degree which for this example is Master of Teaching (Secondary)
- All the units for Master of Teaching (Secondary) that require Professional Experience are displayed
- I select EDUC550 - Research Project and Professional Experience: PrEx 20 days - It contains the Specific Requirements and other Requirements for this Placement
