Content: The purpose of this unit is to provide a practical background to the methods of undertaking research; including formulating hypotheses, selecting methodologies, collecting and processing qualitative and quantitative data, and the organisation and presentation of results. Examination is by a report of original research which should exemplify these principles. Assessment: Two written assignments, each worth 50% of the total
assessment.
