Meet at Department of Planning and Infrastructure (Reception Area) at Albert Facey House, corner of Forrest Place 469 Wellington St., Perth.

Review of central city metro rail project with Richard Mann, Project Manager

3:30 pm

Depart by charter bus from DPI for East Perth redevelopment area and then to coast, taking in Scarborough Beach and Cottesloe development proposals/sites.

5:00 pm

Arrive at Cottesloe Beach Hotel for sundowner.

6:00 pm

Depart from Cottesloe Beach Hotel by bus for Fremantle.

Informal evening meal on the cappuccino strip

Venue: Aqua di Sandrino restaurant starting at 6.30 pm.

9:00 pm

Bus leaves from Fremantle for central Perth.

Conference starts at the future venue for the WA Urban Design Centre, BankWest Tower (46^th Floor, corner of William Street and St Georges Terrace, Perth.)

Theme: “Strengthening Links” Part One: Presentation of papers and discussion of issues raised. See list of papers and schedule attached.

12.30pm

Lunch in Central Perth.
No formal arrangements. City Hotel is available as a nearby venue for those wishing to watch AFL Grand Final (Corner of Murray and King St)

2:00pm

Conference Part Two: Presentation of papers and further discussion.

Dialogue between academics and interested private sector planning professionals and developers – identifying mutual interests between the profession and the academy.

7:00pm

Conference dinner.
